Tough Questions, We have Answers
What are the Average Dimensions of athletic wood Lockers?
We get this question a lot and the simplest answer is it varies but you could say 24″ wide by 84″ high is “average”. However that is not that best answer. Instead of just looking at the average locker size and working on your project in that direction, it’s best to take each locker room as an individual case study. Would you just blindly design a division 1 basketball athletic locker at the average height? the answer is no. those players are on average taller then most and designing to the norm would just place seat heights, hooks, etc. at dimensions that don’t make sense.
Some Typical Dimensions
Recommended dimensions and sizes for all of our athletic wood lockers
Recommended Widths:
- 18″, 21″, 24″, 27″, 30″, 33″, 36″
Recommended Heights:
- 18″, 21″, 24″, 27″, 30″, 33″, 36″
Consider hockey wood lockers and the fact that hockey teams have goalies. Goalies have lots of extra equipment and protective pads. Spaces for goalies should be much wider then that of a normal player. If player lockers are 30″ wide then it would make sense for the goalie lockers to be say 36″ wide. There are many examples of how dimensions of athletic wood lockers vary from team to team. Prozone Athletic has done all the leg work and Requesting a Quote or more information from the experts will help ensure all of your athletic teams have lockers and team rooms that flow better and ergonomically make sense.
